Part I Board Review

What’s Covered On Part I

The NBCE Part I exam is your foundation—it tests the building blocks of chiropractic knowledge. The six subject areas include: General Anatomy, Spinal Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pathology, and Microbiology.

Each subject is broad, but success comes from knowing what’s most often tested and how to apply that knowledge to real-world clinical reasoning.

How I Help You Organize The Information

You don’t need to memorize everything. My system highlights the highest-yield material so you can focus on what really matters, organizes concepts into clear categories so you aren’t overwhelmed, and shows you the “big picture”—how all subjects connect to chiropractic practice.

Common Errors & How To Avoid Them

Over years of teaching, I’ve seen the same mistakes come up: confusing similar pathologies, memorizing without understanding the mechanism, and missing clinical application questions. I call these out directly, helping you avoid the traps that cost points.

Keeping The Content Fresh

I don’t just throw facts at you. I use analogies that make complex material memorable, patterns and shortcuts that stick in your brain, and practical examples “How would this present in my office?” So you’re always linking it back to practice.

Building The Bridge To Part II and III

Your Part I success sets the stage for Part II and Part III. My approach weaves in diagnostic reasoning skills that carry forward, connections between physiology, pathology, and case management, and a mindset that shifts you from student memorization to doctor-level clinical thinking.
